What is more of a pity is that the Western Cape has pioneered a superb and successful computerisation model, known as the Khanya project, but the Gauteng Government wished to reinvent the wheel and do their own thing. So much waste! And it is only the kids that suffer!

To all of those who are against any form of physical abuse and initiation in todays schools: Please could you support Mrs Kimber in her stance against abuse, and be at the Jhb Magistrates Court on Thursday 11th June at 10:00am. Together we CAN make a difference. Visit www.respectme.co.za - a site where teenagers, parents and adults can get advice on a multitude of issues but especially physical abuse.

I trhink that the trouble is that Too much emphasis is being placed on the academic side. Time we went back to the old craft apprenticship system. Unions and Employers need to get into the act. The only thing is to ensure a uniformity throughout each industry and each trade to establish the content levels and qualification.
